The Emmeti EWC-1 wiring centre range includes a built-in isolating switch. This switch lets you safely access thermostats and actuators without isolating the entire electrical circuit. The status of system zones is visible immediately through the call-for-heat LED lights on the display.
For easy management, power, boiler, and pump LED lights are fitted as standard. This centre also lets you connect up to five actuators per zone. A fully integrated earth connection facilitates all earth connections, ensuring earth continuity.
Centralized Time Control
The centre allows you to control up to eight zones with a single time switch. You can also implement a night setback using a time switch. It provides options for both live and neutral switching.
Connections and Compatibility
Integrated earth continuity terminals simplify the earthing requirements. System components can connect to the wiring centre easily. Live and neutral pump terminals with a 230V output make it simple to connect a manifold pump. Separate boiler interlock terminals enable the boiler to fire. The system works whether your boiler needs a 230V supply or a volt-free connection.
Capacity and Design
The 24V version has a 50 VA transformer. This allows you to control up to 16 electrothermic heads. Eight wiring channels have clearly marked terminals. They also have ample room for making connections. Four loose ‘cap’ terminals are provided. These allow you to connect up to five electrothermic heads to two of the zone channels.
Durability and Status Monitoring
The EWC-1 wiring centre can be housed inside manifold cabinets. This is due to its specially protected enclosure, rated at IP44. You can monitor the system’s status with the LEDs on the front of the casing. You won’t need to open it. The LEDs show:
- Power On
- Boiler On
- Pump On
- 8 individual channel LEDs showing a call for heat from the thermostats.
Cable clamping for multiple cables is included. This allows for quicker and easier cable management. Both versions come in an elegantly styled case. They will suit almost all hardwired applications for radiant heating and cooling.
