Amber’s Underfloor Heating Mat offers a perfect solution for a warmer home. It’s simple to use and quick to install. You can roll out the Amber Mat and fit it under a range of floor coverings. The 150W/m² Amber Mat is perfect for concrete floor constructions and is ideal for laying directly onto existing tiles or thermal tile backer board. You can use it as either a primary or secondary heat source, depending on your room’s heat loss. The Amber Mat is hidden under the floor, which removes the problem of space-consuming and unsightly radiators in your home.
Our heating mat is a strong self-adhesive mat with a 360° fully screened twin conductor encased in a tough yellow PVC outer sheath (non-UV stable). At just 4mm thick, you can easily and quickly fit it directly onto an existing floor, making it perfect for renovations.
We meticulously inspect and manufacture our high-quality underfloor heating mats to conform to all EU standards. This ensures you have trouble-free warm floors and gives you complete peace of mind with Ambers SecureFloor 20 Year Warranty.

Floor Finishes and Coverings:
All Amber Underfloor Heating Mats work with typical floor finishes and coverings.
- Vinyl: Fully encapsulate the Amber Mat within a 10mm bed of flexible smoothing compound to provide a minimum of 5mm coverage above the top of the heating element before you lay the vinyl floor finish.
- Tile/Stone: Fully encapsulate the Amber Mat within either a flexible smoothing compound or flexible tile adhesive before you lay the tile or floor finish. Amber recommends using a plastic trowel to protect the underfloor heating cable from accidental damage.
- Carpet: Fully encapsulate the Amber Mat within a 10mm bed of flexible smoothing compound to provide a minimum of 5mm above the top of the heating element before you lay the carpet floor finish. Avoid rubber or foam-backed carpets. Please check with the carpet manufacturer to ensure the carpet is suitable for underfloor heating.
- Timber: Fully encapsulate the Amber Mat within a nominal 10mm bed of flexible smoothing compound layer before you lay the timber floor finish. When installing natural wood floors, we recommend that softwood floors should not exceed 20mm in thickness and hardwood floors should not exceed 30mm in thickness.
