The Cli-Mate stainless steel underfloor heating manifold has two bars: one for the flow and one for the return. It comes complete with a bracket, automatic air vent, drain fill valves, and a pressure gauge.
An underfloor heating manifold distributes warm water to each UFH zone. First, it connects the underfloor heating pipework to the heat source. Then, it feeds water at the correct temperature from either the boiler (via a blending valve) or from a heat pump. Finally, it directs the water to each UFH pipe at the correct flow rate.
Components and Operation
On the flow bar, each port includes a flow indicator with an isolator and an easy-to-read gauge glass. Conversely, each port on the return bar has an integral control valve and a protection cap. This allows you to adjust the volume of water. You can also remove the cap to accept a Manifold Thermoelectric Head. Therefore, you can achieve balance by adjusting the flow meters. This ensures the flow rates to each zone are at the optimum level. Ultimately, this provides even and comfortable warmth across the entire floor.
The manifold is compatible with the Cli-Mate Wilo ‘A’ Rated Pump Set.
Features and Benefits
- Pre-mounted: It comes pre-mounted on installation brackets.
- Remote Control: The valves on the return manifold accept a Manifold Thermoelectric Head for remote control of each zone.
- Connections: 1″ ball valves, filling, and drain-off points are available (not supplied). Also, connections are Euroconus (not supplied).
- Included: Flow meters with isolating valves are included.
- Warranty: It has a 5-year warranty.
Installation and Sizing
When you install a manifold for underfloor heating, you should choose a location that allows for easy installation, a neat appearance, and seamless passage of central heating pipes. Typically, suitable locations include under the stairs, in a storage area, or in the wall near the meter. The specific size and type of manifold you need will depend on several factors, for example, the number of rooms, the type of flooring, and the underfloor heating system.
